I love the subject of this thread. :-) I haven't tried Spanx myself but I just read a review of them in Good Housekeeping, and it said they are really great. It was a panel of several different women and that was the top rated shaping garment or whatever they're called. I'm thinking about getting some myself!
when i had my tummy tuck i lived in Spanx for about three months...When they cut through you tissues in the abdomen, the lymphatic system, which takes all of the waste out of your system, has to reestablish connection after being cut..until that happens you swell up like a blimp...they have you use spanx to keep that swelling down...the kind i had went high above the waist and low to the knee...they lasted all three months that i needed them..and i wore them everyday!!...they do have a little pee hole but trust me when i say to pull them down when you have to go..unless you want to pee all over yourself....i would recommend the kind i had,esp if you have back fat...and what woman does not...the other kind tend to squeeze you off small on bottom and then you muffin-top over the top and that soo looks bad..hope this helps you.
So the kind you had came up higher and were they comfortable? And yes I have back fat...I just hate it!

they were actually...the only issue that i had with them was trying to get them down to pee..but i think that was only because of me and my surgery...you have to pee more often after it...they are like super tight hosiery...but boy do they hold it in...when i bought mine i could not find it in the stores..i bought it online.
Oooh! I've wanted Spanx forever, but I always forget when I'm in a store. For those of you who have tried it, where did you buy them??
"Have you heard about corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!!"
I have seen them at Lane Bryant and at Coldwater Creek.

Torrid in the mall also carries them.
I bought a pair after seeing them on Oprah. I have only used them a few times. But I imagine I'll wear them during the weddings I have to go to this summer.
Love my Spanx! They are truly miracle workers. I wear them for formal occasions when I need to wear something fitted instead of my usual baggy fare. I tried all the knock offs first, but the real deal is definately worth the extra cash!
Gayle King from Oprah was talking about the high under the boob down to the thigh the other day, and said they were awesome!! Gayle was talking to Rachael on her talk show. I know I will get them the next time I need some extra helo for a special event!

I tried a pair of the regular hose....wore them twice, then got a huge run in them. I thought, I paid twenty bucks for these flippin' things, and I got a run in them after wearing them only twice. I won't buy them again, unless I am desperate.

Spanx are awesome!! I wore them under a bridesmaid dress and they were comfortable and all.. only problem was getting them on the first time. Best thing about them is you can pee with them on!! I was skeptical at first, but I did it and it worked! YIPEEE haha

EASY money from home!
how the heck did you pee in those things????i tried to and peed all over myself....how do you aim that thing???lol.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Spanx!! They are truly great to wear under skirts and dresses....especially when it is hot!! I have the shorts that just go waist to knee and never have I felt like i was being squished or did I have a roll at the top. If you are just worried about your belly and back....Spanx also sells a great tank also. Seriously, I love them and I had tried the knock-offs....nothing compares...
I know you can get them at Chico's also.
I found Spanx to be a lifesaver after having my son, I got back into my old clothes much sooner than without them. There are only a couple cons of Spanx, they can get really warm after awhile and if you buy the wrong size they can roll down (I found out that means they are too small, you need to go up a size). I've tried almost all of their products, I love the waist high slimmers and the new bras for taking away the back fat. (only available on their website) If you think they are too expensive they have a Target version of Spanx that is by the same company, sorry I can't remember the name of them.

I was curious if anyone has ever tried the Spanx product...you know to help slim and smooth! I need some slimming and I just can't find a diet that will help me look a little smoother in a week...I have tried and there just isn't one! If you have had any experience with them let me know what what you liked or did not like about them. Thanks in advance!
