Trying painting all the walls the light purple color and pick one wall, and paint horizontal pink stripes on that one and maybe put the butterflies on the lines in an up and down motion? Then put the unicorn pictures on the other walls?
The dollar store on 41st and Minnesota have Wall stickers that you can put on a painted wall and remove with no hassle!! My friend lives in a rental so she could not paint her daughters room, she got the dots, princess, and the letters packets of stickers and put them on her walls and door and it is adorable!! She has a differnt name so it is cool to have her name on the wall!!
I think that butterflies, unicorns, castles, flowers all would go together...sort of a princess theme. As long as you stick with the colors all in the same shades you would be fine. Is the framed unicorn picture something you have aleady? Hobby Lobby and Kidtopia for sure both have cute butterflies that have sort of a net type wings with rhinestones and sparkles that you could hang on the walls and some even hang from the cieling on a little hook that you could do a three different sizes hanging in the corner from the cieling at different heights. Target also has some very cute wall decals that you could possibly find something...they have some by the pictures and some back in the hardware department. Sometimes even Wal-Mart has some cute ones. Gordman's sometimes has cute little girl room decor as well. I know a while back nordstromgirlee on here posted a castle type canvas wall hanging type thing that was like 8ft.x11ft. or something to cover an entire bedroom wall in the mom marketplace, maybe she still has that for sale and that might work perfectly in your daughters room. I thought it sounded so adorable when I read that she had it for sale, but it just wouldn't work in our home and in my daughter's bedroom or I would have bought it from her. Maybe contact her and see if she has a picture of it for you to see. I am so picky about everything matching perfectly, so you are not making too big of a deal out of it...I am the exact same way! :) I love to decorate and do all sorts of things along those lines. It sounds like you have a great idea and all those things could be put together with no problem as long as you don't have too many different shades...if you are doing pastel, stick with pastel...if you are doing brighter colors, stick with brighter shades all in the same family. It is a good idea to stick with these neutral type things for a little girl as you can change things out so easy whenshe gets older and decides she is over a certain stage. This is what I have done in my daughter's bedroom after her baby stuff got switched out and it was the best thing I ever did. We can change things little by little as she outgrows some and not others. Have fun with decorating...so much fun!
thanks alot. I have only been to hobby lobby once, but i found great stuff in there. I like the butterfly idea.
Oh Hobby Lobby is WONDERFUL! You can print out coupons online for 40% any one regular priced item as well. The trick is though with Hobby Lobby...if it is not 50% off this week, it will be in 2 or 3 weeks at the most, so wait and get it half off if not more! :) They always have new items as well and their things are always unique. There is a lot of junk in there as well, but you can find adorable stuff if you look and are creative. I LOVE this topic! :) You are going to have so much fun!

We are going to fix up my daughters room. We have recently moved here and this is a brand new room for her. She would like to have it painted purple with a butterfly border. She has a gramdma made quilt that has pinks, purples yellow, turquoise, dots and a few flowers. She also wants to have unicorns and castles. So I was thinking, if I paint light purple, and put up a framed unicorn picture that is done is pinks and purples will that be to big of a clash in her room? The butterflies are pastel colored. I know iam making a big deal out of this but I dont want to spend all this money and have it look like alot of things going on in there.
