I hear you, I felt it when I had to come home with the kiddo last sunday night and hubby stayed in Aberdeen to help his parents. It was only a few days(he came home wednesday) but I was struggling almost every moment. Kudos to all single parents!!

"what does not break you, makes you stronger"
Depending on the year, my b/f is gone 175-250 days a year...I am at home with our 4 kids... I am 26 and go to school full time...its insane...somedays it is all you can do to maintain sanity....but I love them...especially at bed time LOL :) J/K I love them all the time...they never cease to amaze me. Makes the times that daddy is home...all the more special though.
I was just talking about this with elegantmommy at Debbie's shower today. I thought how hard it was when my hubby as laid up for a few days a couple weeks ago....it was hard to do everything and take care of the baby, too. Made me think about the times I complain that he doesn't help enough....I don't know how single moms do it. He will be gone for work in a couple months, for ten days. My mom asked if I wanted her to come, and I said no, but now I am re-thinking it! So yes, oneson, kudos to the single moms!
1st time mommy to our "princess"
I want to add my kudos, too! I was raised by a single mother, then a single father, and now that I have my own child, I am amazed at how hard it is, even with a husband. I'm sure you single parents don't get the thanks you deserve!!!!
You are doing amazing things every day!
I was just going to start a thread with this exact same heading! I really do want to send kudos to the single moms out there. I have a 5 month old daughter, and my husband is gone this week (his first absence since her birth). Coordinating the morning activities so I can shower, feed her, etc (all on her schedule) has been quite the adventure! I've been getting up about 3 hours before I have to get to work, and this is with only 1 child!! I feel very fortunate that hubby will be back this weekend.

I have always said that single parents are my heros, and this week I was reminded of how much I admire you ladies! My husband has been gone for a week and won't be back for yet another week. He travels some for work, but it seems like each time it gets worse! Maybe because I am in the midst of the "terrible twos" and pregnant?! Anyways, I just wanted to put it out there how much I admire you women who are single parenting! It's such a tough job and I think that you don't get enough credit! I am your biggest fan!
