Tonight my 4 year old was sitting at the table eating after playing Most of the day outside and I noticed a little black spot on his head. I thought he might have another tick (he had one a couple weeks ago from playing outside). After looking really closly at his scalp I noticed that it was a bloody scab and that there were MORE! There are dozens of little bloody, scabby bites of some sort. There was one on his back and there are a few behind his ears but those arent bloody and scabby they just look like little pimples. But the ones on his head are bloody and scabby!!! Does anyone know what these are and what I should do???

Thanks so much for your imput cause I'm at a loss for what to do!!

Has he been scratching his head? Or did these spots just bleed and scab on their own? I would maybe have him checked out. Better safe than sorry, is what I go by. Let us all know what you find out, if you do take him in.

I'm pretty sure that he hasnt been scratching. I put neosprin on them last night before he went to bed and now there scabby again. I'm so confused!!! A friend told me that there was an article in the Argus about Rasberry Bugs (I think that what they were called). I tried finding the article online but didnt have any luck. I'm gonna take him over to Great Grandmas this morning and let her have a look, she might have a better idea of what they are. If not I'm taking him in. I searched the internet ALL NIGHT last night and couldnt find anything.

When my daughter was about 2 she kept waking up with little red bumps all over her little body. So we searched and did everything we could to rid of the pesky bug that was biting her. We knew they were comming from her room but we not ever identify what bug it was. We bug bombed her room (and every room for that matter) and we also bought all new sheets, washed her comforter real good, and bought a new mattress (it was a toddler bed so they were not to spendy).. After that she never had the bite marks again. We think either spiders (as nasty at it sounds.. YUK) or bed bugs.. You can try to do what we did or take him in and the dr should be able to tell you what the bites look like they could come from. But for my daughter from that point on we can not tell her to "not let the bed bugs bite" or she will leap out of bed!!! HAHAHA!!
